Vice Principal in the Works

Caitlin Curran, Staff Writer

Not only does Lewis Mills have a brand new principal, but our well-known assistant principal has departed as well. Because of this, applications have been taken and we’ve then narrowed down to find our new vice principal, who will replace the recently departed Silvia Ouellette. After many applicants, Mills narrowed it down to 12 candidates. A committee was selected to help with this task, including Principal Rau, two members of the Board of Education, four LSM teachers, four parents, a representative of the Teacher’s Union, and three students; one from Grade 9, Grade 10 and Grade 11. Interviews were held for two weeks throughout October, and they’re hoping to have someone chosen by November to start in December-January.
